What is Sverige i fokus?

Sverige i fokus is the public study material UHR has published for people preparing for the Swedish citizenship test (medborgarskapsprovet). The material is about basic knowledge of Swedish society, not Swedish-language reading or listening skills.

The material was produced by UHR together with Skolverket on assignment from the government. Its own introduction says the test will be based on this material, so it should be the first source you use when planning your study.

Why the material matters for the 2026 test

The citizenship test is being introduced step by step. The first part concerns basic knowledge of Swedish society and is scheduled for 15 August 2026. A Swedish-language test is planned for a later stage, so readers should avoid mixing up the society-knowledge material with future Swedish-language testing.
